RHPB8-3000 Model hairpin bender quoted here consist of:
-Powered uncoiler station
-A changeable rerounding & straightening system to allow for further diameter changes. The rounding & straightening wheels are set on both the vertical and horizontal plane,which will straight the tubes from the 2 plates. Each tube has 2 rounding wheels and 12 straighten wheels.
The feeding system is a hydraulically driven friction feeding device, with air cylinderscontrolling the actual pressure applied to the individual feed belts. Whenfeeding, individual air cylinders will apply proper pressure to each of thebelts. The upper and bottom belts will clamp one copper tube and feed to properlength.when the proper length is almost achieved. The feeding speed will changefrom fast to slow, and the air cylinder pressure on the belt will change fromhigh to low. Each air cylinder will lose almost all pressure when the tube itis feeding reaches the final proper position against a Hard Stop plate. It willhold that tube in place until all tubes have achieved the final properposition. Thus all hairpin ends are in the same final location assuring boththe consistence of hairpin length and equality of leg lengths.
A fixed location cutting system
The copper tubing cutting system utilizes outer rotating cutter blades to cut the tube. Lubrication takes place. The feed belts reverse and separate the tube ends after cutting.
The bending system can move inthe length direction to produce hairpin of different lengths. The leg length isset from the PLC and Programming is fully automatic
The bend system is servo driven. This is allows for much better accuracy and less free play orback lash then the older type ofhydraulically driven bending heads found in many competitor's units.
In addition: "QuickChange" Tube support booms are provided to support the guide tubes andallow change from one length to another in less than 2 minutes
The Hairpin Bender will be capable of receiving such special sets of bend tooling as may bedictated by specific bend radius requirements and / or changes in tubingdiameter up to16mm maximum.
A sensingdevice is provided in each lubrication tank to monitor the level of oil to prevent operating the equipment without proper lubrication. A corresponding diagnostic message will be displayed on the touch screen when the level is low
An tube pick off device is included which will support the tubes while stripping and laythem down in the tube collectors. This will produce straighter hairpins forlonger lengths.
There is a tube end Sizer attachment to re-open the ends of the hairpinsthat do not passover the mandrels;
Automatic set-up of the hairpin bender and leg length adjustments can be accomplishedthrough the use of a standard programmable controller interfaced with a touchscreen. This also provides diagnostic information for trouble shooting, Semi-automaticcontrol and manual actuation of all machine functions. Additionally, The machine is capable of automatically positioning to specific hairpin length. Both legs of hairpin are adjustable through the touch screen and can be moved either independently or together by dedicated servo motors. The motors are capable of running at both fast and slow speeds to decrease setup time and facilitate precision adjustments. Over-travel switches on each axis help protect the machine with digital readouts on the touch screen display the current and target location in increments of 0.1mm. After the target location on each axis has been reached, hydraulic clamps lock in place to prohibit drifting.Cable/hose carriers are provided to the back of the machine and the switch tower area to prevent hose and cable damage and imprve the general esthetic of the equipment
